SHRI YANTRA “the queen of yantras”

“Yantra” comes from the root word “yam” meaning “instrument” or “support” & “tra” derives from “trana” meaning “release from bondage”. It represents the ongoing dance of Shiva & Shakti in the cosmos & their life-generative power.

This ancient Vedic tool is used in meditation & contemplative practises to support spiritual liberation, the expansion of our consciousness & self-realization.

There are hundreds of yantra designs related specifically to certain deities, principle & planets; however, the Shri Yantra (posted) is a symbol of the great divine Mother principle - the source of all energy, power & creativity - SHAKTI 💥

Each line represents a different aspect of Shakti -the outer square represents Earth element & represents worldly desires & 3rd dimensional emotions. Yogis meditate on the outer square to release attachment to the material realms of bondage.

The “T” shape within the outer square represent the four directions & are the gateway for entering the remaining layers & dimensions of the yantra. The 3 circles represent past, present & future And there is much more to learn & ways to work with these stunningly beautiful ancient works of healing art!

To begin working with yantras, ensure the one you are working with is accurate, & then practise the gazing method: softly focusing on the yantra for several minutes & allowing the medicine to work its way into your consciousness. Follow with meditation.
