Yoga for Weightlifters

As part of every SAHA 200hr YTT training program, students are asked to teach a one hour yoga class. Students may choose to teach live, as Robyn has done below, or they may pre-record a class where they are teaching others in person and submit that for their final review.

Robyn is one of our recent 200hr YTT graduates and her final class is one she designed as a Yoga Class for Weightlifters. A wonderful synergy of Taoist teachiings, Hatha and Yin yoga that will shake out and really MOVE stuck energies that can keep us tight and stiff from other workouts and types of physical exertion that build tension in the body.

Robyn’s energy is joyous and uplifting and her class is designed to release and relax the body, as she states in her class, “leave us in puddles on the floor” by the end of a heat-building and energetically transformative class!

MORE INFO: Tight muscles after your workout? Yoga for weightlifters is an hour-long class that combines a lil Qi Gong, a lil Indian Yoga, and a lil Tao Yin. The class warms you up then gives you time to melt into the floor, opening and stretching the muscles you use most in your workouts. Be prepared to leave the class feeling accomplished and more in your body (hopefully more relaxed!).

* If you tend to get chilly when you cool down, 10/10 would recommend socks, a hoodie, and a blanket!
